Here are some common questions about Living Fit.
What containers do your meals arrive in?
All meals except salads are in BPA free, microwave and dishwasher safe containers. Salads are in sealable BPA free plastic containers. The containers are designed to seal tight and resist freezer damage if frozen for up to 90 days in the freezer.
How long do the meals last?
Meals last 5-6 days in the refrigerator. We always provide a use or freeze by date on every container. Meals can be reheated from fresh OR straight from frozen so no need to worry if you need to freeze some before enjoying.
Is there nutritional information?
All standard meals come with nutritional information on the label. All Calories, Carbohydrates (Net Carbs for Keto/Low Carb), Protein, and Fat are on the label, and if you need additional information please feel free to contact us. All standard meals (i.e. no changes, substitutions, or special requests) are also in My Fitness Pal for convenience and ease of tracking.
Are your meals Gluten Free?
Yes! All of our meals are gluten free. Our kitchen is in the process of becoming certified gluten free. All of our cooking equipment is brand new and has never touched gluten. Gluten is not even allowed to be stored in an shared refrigeration or dry storage space with our food.
When do I have to submit my order?
Each order location has a specific order deadline. Please see our Pick Up Locations page for more information.
How do I heat my meals?
Each label has reheating instructions listed on it for your convenience. Simply crack a corner of the container and heat on HIGH in the microwave for 3-4 minutes or until heated through. If there is a plastic sauce container please remove it before heating. If you would like to heat them in the oven, transfer the dish to a greased oven safe dish, cover with foil, and heat at 400F for 15min or until heated through.
Can I return the containers?
Unfortunately we cannot accept used containers due to food safety concerns. They can be washed in the dishwasher and reused or recycled.
Can you accommodate allergies?
Yes! We specialize in accommodating almost any allergies. We do not cook with any gluten or peanut products, but our kitchen does have tree nuts, dairy, coconut, soy, egg and other allergens so please let us know on your order form. Be aware we try to limit cross contamination as much as possible, but we cannot guarantee anything as we are not an allergen free kitchen. You can see any allergens listed under each description of each menu item and allergens the dish is free from.
